Objectives:

  • Recognize and describe the conversion processes of UF6 to UO2.
  • Recognize and describe the UO2 pills (pellets) processes.
  • Describe the UO2 fuel bars manufacturing process.
  • Describe the manufacturing process of combustible assemblies of light and heavy water reactors.
  • Identify the manufacturing processes of different types of advanced fuels: ATF,  Uranium-based Ceramic Particle Fuel, TRISO, metallic, molten salts, carbides and nituros.
